Strategy Lab
Turn strategic ambition into choices people can act on.
Strategy Lab is built on Upscale Bridge, Upscale Strategy's own process: seven steps from analysis to a one-page strategy, carried by Must Win Battles. Work through it yourself in the digital tool with an AI coach, with access by invitation to begin with, or have Claus facilitate the process with your leadership team.
Leadership makes the choices. The method and AI carry the process.

3-5 battles
An organisation cannot hold more priorities. That is why the bridge ends in a few Must Win Battles
When strategy needs to move
A strategy can look complete and still fail to guide the business.
The problem is rarely the lack of ambition. It is a SWOT without a conclusion, priorities without owners, and a strategy the employees were never told. Upscale Bridge is built to close exactly those three gaps.
- 01The analysis never becomes a real choice
- 02Initiatives lack ownership and targets
- 03Employees see the strategy too late, or never
Upscale Bridge
Seven steps from analysis to a one-page strategy.
Upscale Bridge is the process Claus has run with leadership teams in real engagements, made digital. Along the way, every step can be sent to Decision Room, where an advisory board gives feedback and questions for reflection, and the bridge ends in a one-page strategy, a strategy story and a finished presentation for the organisation.
01 Where you stand
The analysis
01The outside world
The external analysis: developments, competition and customer demands, built on public company data
02The company
Emptying the backpack, the owners' will on the table, and the position measured against the best
03Critical SWOT
The coach questions every field, four points at most, and a conclusion
02 What you want
The direction
04The direction
Mission, vision, value proposition and the customer promise, tested against the SWOT conclusion
05The ambition
The dream in numbers and words, with goals for finances, customers and employees
03 How you win
The execution power
06Must Win Battles
Three to five battles with an owner, KPIs and at most five initiatives, each with an owner, a KPI and a deadline
07The strategy assembled
One page, the strategy story with a theme and a finished presentation
Illustrative Nordic business example
Evidence
Customers consolidate suppliers. Specialist expertise is strong, but the offer is fragmented.
Strategic tension
Can the company turn its expertise into a repeatable integrated offer before competitors take the position?
Strategic response
Focus on two segments. Build one repeatable solution. Mobilise through a measurable Must Win Battle.
Critical SWOT
A strong SWOT is a conclusion, not a collection of opinions.
The coach works field by field and asks what an experienced adviser would: compared with whom, measured on what, and what happens if this stands unchanged? Four points at most per field, and the step only ends when the SWOT is boiled down to the top challenges and the top potentials.
Evidence based. Prioritised. Can be tested in Decision Room.
Outside in evidence
Opportunities and threats
Customers are consolidating suppliers and expect faster implementation with measurable operational value.
Inside out evidence
Strengths and weaknesses
Deep specialist expertise and strong customer access are undermined by a fragmented offer and an inconsistent commercial process.
Critical SWOT conclusion
The company can win through an integrated solution, but only if it turns specialist expertise into a repeatable offer and says no to custom work that does not fit the model.
Involvement with a purpose
Involvement strengthens insight, ownership and execution.
- 01
Leadership defines the frame
Leadership sets the ambition, decision boundaries and outcomes the process must produce.
- 02
Employees strengthen the evidence
People close to customers, operations and delivery challenge assumptions and sharpen the critical SWOT.
- 03
Teams make the choices executable
Selected leaders and employees turn the choices into Must Win Battles, initiatives and success measures.
- 04
Leadership decides and owns
Leadership makes the final choices and carries responsibility for execution and follow through.

The strategy on one page
A roadmap that connects direction, priorities and action.
The bridge ends in one page using the same template as Upscale Strategy's facilitated engagements: purpose and goals, playing field, opportunities and challenges, Must Win Battles with owners, and initiatives. The illustrative example shows how every choice connects.
Direction
Become the preferred integrated partner in two priority segments.
Value proposition
One accountable partner combining expertise with faster implementation and visible operational value.
Must Win Battle
Build a repeatable integrated solution business. Each Must Win Battle gets an owner, KPIs and initiatives.
Initiatives
Package the offer, run three pilots, train sales and establish delivery governance. Each with an owner, a deadline and a target.

Two ways in
The same bridge, two ways to build it.
Yourself, with the tool
Upscale Bridge, digital
Work through the seven steps at your own pace with an AI coach that questions and challenges but never decides for you. Along the way you can send the SWOT and each Must Win Battle to Decision Room and get an advisory board's feedback before you lock them.

Book an initial conversation
From practice
From two business models to one clear strategic focus.
Unlimit GroupApproved public case.
Strategic outcome
A deliberate focus on technology rather than store operations.
The strategy gave the company a clearer basis for concentrating its resources and leadership attention.
- 01
The situation
Unlimit Group combined technology for unmanned retail with operating its own chain of unmanned stores.
- 02
The work
Upscale Strategy conducted market analysis, led leadership workshops and developed the strategy with the management team.
- 03
The strategic choice
The company chose to focus on its technology platform and step away from operating its own stores.

Who is behind the method
The facilitator who does not take over your strategy.
Claus Dahlmann Larsen has built strategies inside international companies and facilitated engagements for leadership teams and owners. Upscale Bridge is his process, made digital: he knows where strategies usually fall apart, in the move from a good looking plan to something the organisation actually does.
- International executive leadership
- Strategy and commercial development
- Facilitation that protects leadership ownership
Start with the strategic question
A stronger strategy starts with a focused conversation.
If your leadership team needs to set direction, prioritise or make the strategy executable, start with a confidential conversation about the ambition, the business and what progress should look like. If you want to try Upscale Bridge digitally, mention it and you will be on the list for the test.
The tool handles the everyday. And if you want Claus at the table, for a meeting or a facilitated engagement, he is one click away.
